Our mission is to create a safe space for students to connect with one another over a shared love for cheese. Cheese is a widely appreciated food around the world that will attract people of all majors and ages, making it the perfect focal point for creating a fun and diverse environment where people can come together, interact, and build a sense of community. We have and will continue to host many cheese-related events, in order to provide the perfect backdrop for students to mingle and make new friends.
This club began as a response to the unique social challenges that arose during return-to-school following the COVID-19 pandemic. After months of lockdowns and social distancing, we have observed many returning students were feeling isolated and disconnected from their peers. The lack of social clubs that were singularly focused on giving students a chance to connect did not aid this problem. We wanted to bridge this gap in the campus community by creating a purely social club that would provide opportunities for students to connect with one another outside of academic or professional contexts.
